Getting Started with Profit-Sharing

Follow these steps to start earning. Everything happens on the Earnings page in your account.

1. Get approved

Profit-sharing is granted per partner. There are two ways in:

  • Request access — open the Earnings page and submit a request. You can include a short note about your audience. An admin reviews it and, if approved, enables profit-sharing on your account at a set percentage.
  • Get whitelisted — the Katalyst team can enable profit-sharing for you directly and set your share rate.

While your request is pending, the Earnings page shows its status. Once approved, your share rate and earning tools appear.

2. Connect your payout account (Stripe)

Before you can be paid, connect a bank account through Stripe Express:

  1. On the Earnings page, click Set up payouts.
  2. You’ll be redirected to Stripe to verify your identity and add your bank details (this is Stripe’s standard KYC process — Katalyst never sees your bank credentials).
  3. When you finish, you’re returned to the Earnings page. Your status updates to Payouts enabled once Stripe approves the account.

You can reopen the Stripe dashboard any time from the Open Stripe dashboard button to update bank details or view transfers.

3. Confirm your W-9 (US partners)

US partners must have a W-9 on file before any payout is released. After your Stripe account is enabled, the Earnings page shows a short W-9 confirmation step — check the box to confirm your tax information has been submitted through Stripe. See Taxes & 1099 Reporting for details.

International partners are currently supported on a limited, manual basis. Reach out to support if you’re outside the US.

4. Share your code and track earnings

Share your referral code (from the Referrals page) or your sign-up link. As referred members pay, earnings appear on the Earnings page:

  • Pending earnings — accrued but not yet paid out.
  • Lifetime paid — total transferred to your bank.
  • Payout history — a line item for each member’s billed cycle.
